I confess the attraction these figures awaken in me, not only for their iconography, but also because they embody a magnificent example of the creative freedom of the artist. Through gargoyles, sculptors unleashed their imagination, shaping unusual and fascinating figures with an extraordinary power of seduction. True masters of stonework, they were and still are capable of transforming a practical function into genuine works of art.<\/p>\n
