In today's post we'll be presenting the gargoyles<\/a> on the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption<\/strong> in the town of Mart\u00edn Mu\u00f1oz de las Posadas, in the province of Segovia (Spain).<\/p>\r\n

When you arrive in the Plaza Mayor (the town\u2019s main square) you come across this impressive church. The church is listed as an Asset of Cultural Interest and was built between the 13th and 16th centuries, dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption and Saint Sebastian.<\/p>\r\n

Its gargoyles are on the magnificent brick-built tower. There are just eight of them. Even so, despite their small number and the wear and tear they\u2019ve been subjected to, they seemed significant for their iconographic interest.<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n\n\t\t
