In this article, we enter the magnificent Burgos Cathedral to examine the imposing demons of its lantern tower. We begin with an evocative description of the splendid cathedral: \u201cPreceded by a spiritual past intimately bound up with the glories of Castile, the period from 1221 to 1568 gave form to an incomparable dream in stone, from which there initially emerged a cathedral ennobled, in its robust simplicity, by the purest elements of Classical Gothic\u201d (L\u00f3pez Mata, 2008, p. 185).<\/p>\r\n
